PJRS Celebrating Independence
Submitted by Pirate Joe on Sat, 07/05/2008 - 7:03pm.Hey, all! Sorry that I didn't have a show on Friday July 4th. The studio was closed that day for a holiday (maybe the United States of America's Independence Day). Well, Pirate Joe celebrated not being born a Brit by getting up even earlier than I do to do the radio show and driving until I was almost at the very edge of the country itself and bumming around in a house owned by relatives. What a perfect celebration of independence!
The Pirate Joe Radio Show 5/16/08 Final
Submitted by Pirate Joe on Fri, 05/16/2008 - 2:55pm.Good Friday to all! Sometimes when certain pirates who broadcast on The U aren't forced to go into the station at God-awfully early in the morning, those pirates aren't as inclined to get up at that same time to do a radio show... er... blog... show. Anyway, this is my attempt to keep you all entertained while the station is down and I know that even as I sit here in front of my computer, that I will not be able to finish the show before I have to get up off my rump and go to work. But, here goes nothing!
Sorry to the Pirate Joe faithful. I'll look to make it up!
Submitted by Pirate Joe on Wed, 05/14/2008 - 3:16pm.I must apologize to those who usually listen to The Pirate Joe Radio Show on Friday mornings because of a final essay I had due at noon, I was not able to come in and do my show last week the way I hoped I would be. To make matters worse, the station is down (DJs only, The U Shuffle still works) for a bit here while technical stuff is being done in the studio. So, what that means, is that The Pirate Joe Radio Show is delayed for a few weeks. If you stay tuned to the station's website I'll blog once a week or so and let you know when my show will again be on the air (expect late May).
So, what does Pirate Joe think about when he's not talking on air?
Submitted by Pirate Joe on Fri, 02/29/2008 - 8:47am.Well, if you're a usual Pirate Joe Radio Show listener: 1) you might know that the "official" name of the show is "Pirate Joe's Radio Show" but that I refer to it as "The Pirate Joe Radio Show", and 2) that Pirate Joe did the hardest thing of his time at The U today. That's right, I talked half as much as I usually do during the show! (gasp).
This doesn't mean anything so silly as Pirate Joe not being behind the scenes or anything during the show. I've been here doing the things I usually do, but I've been letting the music play instead of gabbing away.
