Back from L.A.
Submitted by Lisa Shea on Thu, 10/30/2008 - 2:49pm.Greetings, U-bees! Just got back from a 5-day rock ‘n’ roll odyssey in the City of the Angels. We stayed in lovely Santa Monica, where street musicians dotted the pier, and spent time in Malibu, Venice Beach, and Hollywood with good friends, new and old. We visited the hallowed Guitar Center Walk of Fame, where I put my hands in the impressions of some of the all-time greatest rock and blues musicians and ran my hands along the tribute wall. Inside, we admired new and vintage guitars ranging from $99 to $120,000.

It's Good to be Back Home!
Submitted by Lisa Shea on Fri, 08/22/2008 - 6:27am.After taking the summer semester off from the radio station, I can say, as the Waterstreet song goes, "It's Good to be Back Home!" My new time slot is on Thursdays, from 1-2pm. So have a nice lunch and then kick back for an hour of da bluze. I plan on doing a couple of "all-request" shows this semester, so please e-mail me your song or artist suggestions so I can add them to future playlists!
Peace, love, and music, Lisa
p.s. If you don't know who Watersreet is, you should find out. Hint: They are the ones from Peoria, Illinois--NOT the ones from Canada.
