This is the 30th anniversary of the Institute of Women and Gender Studies. Come celebrate at the Symposium at 2pm - 4pm in the SGA chambers. The event is FREE and there will be a nice reception.

Don't forget you can receive an additional certificate if you take specific classes from the Women and Gender Studies Institute when you receive your diploma.

Greetings UMSL campus community, hope you are enjoying the crisp autumn day. It's an exciting day here in triton land, we have Dr. Joel Glassman, the academic director in the center of International Studies and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs. He's been at UMSL for thirty-five years and is a faculty member in the polisci department.

It's a busy week here in the land of the Tritons...homecoming is right around the corner plus the bookstore is hosting a book signing today at 4pm for "Paper Scissors Death" by the author Joanna Campbell Slan.

Here is this year's Homecoming Schedule:
Sunday - Bonfire and a Movie outside the MSC starting at 6pm
Monday - Blood Drive and Canned Food Drive 10am - 3pm in the Century Rooms of the MSC & Karaoke from 7pm - 9pm in the Pilot House
Tuesday - Alumni Association Chili Dinner and Homecoming Pep Rally - 6pm at Oak Hall
Wednesday - BMOC at noon on the Pilot House

Today we are joined by Dr. Barbara Harbach,a guest who's been requested back by popular demand. She is a professor of Music, recognized the world over as one of the very top organist, she plays the harpsichord, is a composer and has numerous CD's with another one coming out soon. Dr. Harbach is known both around campus and the world as a a Renaissance women and is currently serving as the Women's in the Arts chair. The institute celebrates women creators and started in 2005. The institute has moved into an office is GSB 225.
